About Lotto America
Lotto America is a multi-state lottery game available to play in several states across the United States, currently including 13 participating states. Drawings take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:15 pm ET.
Game History
Lotto America was first introduced in 1988 and was replaced by Powerball in 1992. The game was reintroduced in a new format on November 15, 2017, and continues to grow in popularity.
How to play Lotto America?

Select Your Numbers
Choose 5 numbers between 1 and 52 (white balls or main numbers) and 1 Star Ball number between 1 and 10. -
Add All Star Bonus (Optional)
For an extra $1, you can activate the All Star Bonus, which multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times. -
Winning the Jackpot
To win the jackpot, your 5 main balls and Star Ball number must match the drawn numbers. For the minimum prize, you need to match at least the Star Ball number.

- Lotto America Ticket: $1 per play
- All Star Bonus Option: +$1
All Star Bonus
The All Star Bonus multiplies non-jackpot prizes by 2, 3, 4, or 5 times, based on a multiplier selected randomly before each draw. For example, if you match 4 numbers, the base prize is $1,000; with an All Star Bonus multiplier of 3, the prize becomes $3,000.
Odds of Winning and Prize Breakdown
Lotto America prizes are fixed amounts except for the jackpot, which varies with each draw. If there are multiple winners, the jackpot is split. If no jackpot is won, it rolls over to the next drawing, allowing it to grow until it’s won.
